STORIES …. MORE STORIES ….

“YPS has been refreshing for me …. allowed me to replenish and for God to renew my love for young people. The food was great, wish we had more time o burn it off tho…” - Donny Tan

“YPS has been a great blessings for me, challenging me to give my all to serve God. God has reaffirmed His calling on my life during the sessions. I was afraid to start out this new ‘phase’ of my life but the sessions have given me insight and some knowledge about being a Youth Pastor. He has given me a heart for the young people and I have been so blessed to be here. The fellowship with other fellow youth workers have provided me a sense of belonging and knowing that there are others out there who are working together with me to reach the youth of Malaysia.” - Tabitha Ong

“Things were technical but true, practical more for Senior pastors. The ‘cikus’ need practical views and things pertaining to how to handle youths today. How the ‘cikus’ can grow and learn to serve and nurture and bring up the youth today to stand strong for God. Yet all these has broadened my perspective to be more creative in reaching the youth in our nation.” - Gurcharan

“Throughout the whole of YPS, I’ve learn many technicalities and practicalities in the ministry. However they were a little more suitable for senior pastors or pastors and leaders in higher authorities. But I’ve learnt a lot on mentoring and spiritual fathering which I can make use of in my working place. I also learn much by the brief but spirit refreshing message by Ps Julie.” - Matthew Chan

“This year YPS is very relevant as the lessons taught was more on helping the pastors/leaders in running the youth ministry, with different ideas that we can learn from. I enjoyed the time we get to share on our church-based and community-based projects where once again we can share and learn from one another. YPS is indeed a good school for networking” - Hai Yen

“For the past few days, I have learned many things I have never even heard before. Yes, I am bless. It seems that the Lord wants to train me to be somebody. I don’t know what it is but I will just obey His commands in the years to come.” - Tristan

“So many of the topics discussed are in a way not really relevant because I’m just a committee in CF. But as time passed by, I begin to see the things I can apply to CF. I also have the opportunity to meet so many leaders and to learn from them. Truly this is an eye opening and life changing school.” -Paul Wong

“YPS’ relevance to this generation of youth pastors and leaders is very needful and powerful to impact, inspire, influence, refine the participants. I am so overwhelmingly blessed. Every youth worker in Malaysia should be here too because God speaks here. ” - Vinnie

“It was a great experience here at YPS. Really enjoyed and benefit from it. It was also a great turn over for me to again have the passion for youth ministry. I have learned from all the pastors. Thank you for providing a good training. Maybe we can have more practical sessions to deal with real cases and group discussion.” - Julian

“YPS has challenged me to look beyond, go beyond and serve God; all according to His will and His plan in my life to the fullest ability and potential.” - Andrew

“YPS has helped me to realize that spiritual warfare is very real and you have to be prepared in every way before going into a spiritual battlefield. YPS has also helped me to understand more about a leader’s role and responsibility.” - Jin Li

“YPS has really caused me to want to go the distance for God. They’ve not just spoken to us conceptually but backed it up with an awesome ‘commission’ service. The pastors truly ministering to us and speaking to our hearts. It has made me realize that the youth ministry is not just the callous thing we make it; but rather it plays an essential part both the leaders and the youth’s growth. It’s challenged me to become that ‘influencer’ that God has called me to be. YPS is what every youth leaders needs and I’m glad I came.” - Phoebe

“YPS - a great balance of spiritual, practical instruction for youth ministry. The teaching was very relevant. Worship was also very good and very important. I would like to suggest more group devotion time in the morning, perhaps?” - Malt Woody.

“YPS was a ground breaking for me as I am in the proses of preparing myself before going into full time ministry for the coming year 2008. Many things that I’ve learned and explore, YPS helped me to build up my spiritual strength and I realized it is not an individual ministry but a huge networking ministry. I strongly believe that through YPS may youth pastors, youth workers and youth leaders will be blessed and also will have the idea of developing strong and committed youths.” - Eric

“YPS gave a great insight of how churches run. It’s great for its targeting more than youth leaders.” - Ken Seng

“I want to thank God for YPS as I’ve learn different things that needs to be done in a youth ministry. I’m grateful for the subsidy that YPS has provided and the program scheduled was great. I’ve benefited from YPS and I can go back to my local church to do something great and different for God.” - Jon

“Wow! This is the first time to attend YPS. I thought it’ll be boring, now I know its so fun to learn God’s Word and do God’s works. I have learned how to communicate and work in a team. Networking is important. Its better to do things out together than do alone. Through this camp, I saw our weaknesses and the Lord was telling us to overcome it.” - Cassandra

“I learned a lot from the courses done by Pastor Victor Wong. The topics are relevant and discussions in groups exposed me to many ideas and different methods of achieving the same goal. I like the balanced teaching of practical leadership and planning skills along with spiritual guidance provided by the various pastors who were so generous with their assistance. Most of the topics were every thought provoking as well. I was greatly blessed.” - Angela Yap

“YPS has been truly a great blessing because it challenges every part of my spirit and answers some of my spiritual needs. YPS itself is a testimony that God has store greater things for those who believe and He continues to be with us.” - Aaron Tam

“I have learn to check my own heart and deal with the issues of heart before taking the next step in doing youth ministry. YPS has impacted and challenged me to truly follow Jesus before going to reach out to the youths.” - Andrea

“I am very grateful for coming to YPS. Although what was taught was quite conceptual, I appreciate how it has expanded and challenged my views. I am motivated to treating my dad, my pastor with more respect as the Senior Pastor. I also am challenged to seek God more fervently and to pursue Him with all I have. The fellowship with the youth have also been uplifting.” - Enoch

“I learned about the importance of being a people oriented person, not just a task based/oriented one.” - Jason

“I have learn that networking is very important. It is good that after every session, we can share in small groups for discussion, questions and answers.” - Esther

“First of all, I thank the Lord for bringing me here to learn and fellowship and network with one another. YPS has encourage me to serve with who I am, what I have for the kingdom of God. God is able to multiply the little thing I have given in His marvelous way.” - Connie

“I really want to thank God for YPS this year. As the things that were discussed were more practical. I feel that God is telling us to enlarge our vision and to start thinking big for His glory. Church is no longer just on Sunday or just within the four walls of our building; but to the world! Through YPS God has taught me to stop being afraid on how to dom something but to trust Him and to start doing big and great things for His gloty. We are not just Christian BUT soldiers for the Kingdom of Heaven. I would like to suggest group prayers in the morning in future YPS.” - Jagdeesh

“I came with unclear expectation but knowing that I should obey God and come. But after listening to Organisation and Outreach session by Pastor Victor, I now clearly understand why and where my Senior Pastor is going and leading. And with this eye-opener, I learnt the importance to be an armour-bearer for senior Pastors in churches.” - Jessica

“YPS has been a wonderful experience. The great aspect about it that there is a lot of time to network with like-minded youth leaders from various background. The teaching has been revolutionary and provides a paradigm shift in current trends of youth works. God has been so clear in instruction, divine in intervention, awesome in personal contact and amazing in love. Than you for YPS 2007. Its great to meet so many people who just love Jesus so much! God bless the YAMies in their continual work for God.” - Ignatius

“This is my first YPS and it really gave me a difference perspective in Christian life. It really talked to me in different ways especially the topic on mentoring by Pastor Clement. It really made me realize what it means to be a leader, a spiritual father/mother. Every session of YPS has its own quality. I really enjoy my time here. It has built me spiritually. In the future YPS I would like to learn on how to walk closely with God and how to hang on to His Words when circumstances around us seem to be very hard and when we are in the brink of giving up. Overall the whole YPS was fantastic.” - Vandana

Will there be a posting of the list of 20 things youth needs to grow before they reach 18 or 20 years old by Pastor Victor?
